John Lee Hill

John Lee Hill, son of Harriet McKeller Hill and the late William Hill, was born in Parma on Feb. 21, 1950, and died at his home in Sikeston on Sept. 12, 2004, at the age of 54.

Mr. Hill had lived in Parma and Essex, left Missouri and worked for many years in Marion, Ind., and moved to Sikeston two years ago. He was a fork lift operator with the General Motors Truck Division in Marion where he worked for 30 years. He was a Shriner and a Third Degree Mason.

Surviving are one daughter, Alesha Stewart of Jeffersonville, Ind.; three grandchildren; five brothers, Chester Earl Hill of Essex, Donnie Wayne Hill of St. Louis, Ben Hill of Chicago, Ill., Charles Edward Hill of New Madrid, and Ernest Hill of Marion, Ind.; five sisters, Betty Gay and Willie Lee Bailey, both of Malden, Mable Jacob and Annie Thompson, both of Essex, and Mildred Hill of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept.18, 2004, in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. James Turks of Sikeston officiating.

Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
