Daisy Ann Edwards, the daughter of the late William and Mary Katherine Warren Baker, was born in Frisco on July 8, 1908, and died in Essex on Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at the age of 96.
She had lived in Essex all her life and was a member of the General Baptist Church. She had worked as a nurse's aid at the Vintage Villa Nursing Home in Dexter and retired at age 78.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Lee Edwards of Essex and Charles Edwards of Aid; two daughters, Pansy Jones of Flushing, Mich., and June Hunsaker of Dexter; 20 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Ruth Tussing and Hazel Edwards; three grandchildren; three brothers, James and John Baker and one in infancy; and one sister, Dorothy Tippens.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Paul and Gina Stephens of Poplar Bluff and the Rev. Ronnie McAtee of Advance officiating.
Interment will follow in the Taylor Cemetery near Essex with Watkins & sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
