Ruth B. Pruitt, daughter of the late Delmer B. and Eula Bell Thompson, was born in Dexter on June 25, 1913, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at the age of 91.

She had lived in Illinois for many years before returning to Dexter. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Dexter.

On July 16, 1951, she was married to Bertrand Pruitt, Jr., and he preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1979.

Surviving are one brother, Bob Travers of Phoenix, Ariz.; and one sister, Dorothy Nichols of Dexter.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Paul D. Travers.

Visitation was held from 11:30 until service time on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Vaughn Wright of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
