Otho "Dink" Brown

Otho "Dink" Brown, son of the late Jacob Henry Brown and Rosenna Greer Brown, was born Nov. 28, 1909, in Parma and died at his residence in Dexter on Tuesday morning, Sept. 28, 2004, at the age of 94.

Mr. Brown was of the Baptist faith, an agriculture and dairy farmer, and a resident of Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Alma Jewel Walker on Dec. 1, 1928, in Parma. Mrs. Brown preceded him in death on June 27, 1996.

Survivors include three sons, Dallas Brown and Raymond Brown, both of Dexter, and Henry Brown of Grayridge; one daughter, Twila Christman of Dexter; 18 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Pansy Walker and Evelyn Asher; one brother, Clifford Brown; two sisters, Pearl Breece and Dona Kilbreath.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Ronnie Ledbetter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter.
