Mary Louise Stevens, daughter of the late Charles Walker and Cora Jones Walker, was born on Dec. 6, 1915, at Dexter and died in the Jackson Manor on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at the age of 88.

Mrs. Stevens was of the Pentecostal faith, a homemaker, a former resident of Dexter and had been living in Jackson for the past eight years.

Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Teson of Jackson and Bertha Petty of Blountstown, Fla.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Walker; two brothers, Charles F. Walker and Wilson F. Walker; and one sister, Betty Scheppers.

Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Clifford Wray officiating.

Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
