Harold Eugene Worth, Sr., was born April 30, 1942, to Vallee Brook Worth and Julie Bell Retting at Clines Island. He died Sept. 30, 2004, at the age of 62 at Abbey Nursing Home in St. Petersburg, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vallee and Julie Worth; five brothers, Alphonse, Frank, Vallee, Jr., Edward and Ronnie Neal Worth; and one sister, Rachel Ellen Walker.

He was a Navy veteran, serving in Vietnam from 1961-64 and worked as a boilermaker in shipbuilding many years.

Survivors include one daughter, Nicole Worth Flickinger of Stanley, N.D.; one son, Harold Eugene Worth, Jr. of Morehouse; one sister, Juanita Cravens of Fenton, Mich.; and five brothers, Rev. W.H. Worth of Essex, Billy Doyle Worth of Clearwater, Fla., Loranze Worth of Flint, Mich., Truman Lee and Richard Worth of Vassar, Mich.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Portageville Cemetery with Rev. W.H. Worth officiating.
