Vincent J. DiRosa, 77, of Plantation, Fla., died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004.

He was the founder and president of Florida Marine Tanks. He was a restaurateur for 15 years, operating Bellini's on Captiva Island. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the American Boat and Yacht Council, and was a third degree Knights with Knights of Columbus Mother Frances Cabrini Council in Bridgeport, Conn.

He was a lifetime supporter of Catholic education, was a wine and food aficionado, and loved cars, children and his business.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary; his children, Rosemarie (Romano) Fiori of Sunny Isles, Jennie J. DiRosa of Ft. Lauderdale, Vincent G. (Eileen) DiRosa, Jr. of Hallandale; grandchildren, Daniela Fiori, Stephanie Avera-DiRosa, Robert Vincent DiRosa; sisters, Clara Basile, Luisa Grana of Modica, Sicily; grandogs, Lucy, Ollie, Bruno, Sasha; and great-grandog, Bella.

Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at the T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, 7001 N.W. Fourth Street, Plantation, Fla. 33317.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 200 N. University Drive, Plantation 33324.

Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

In his memory, the family has suggested donations to the St. Gregory the Great Endowment Fund for the Vincent DiRosa Scholarship at St. Gregory Catholic School, or to Annunciation Catholic School, 3781 S.W. 39 Street, Hollywood, Fla. 33023.
