Kenneth Petigo, son of the late Andrew Jackson and Sallie Mae Roberts Petigo, was born in Fulton, Miss., on March 13, 1935, and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at the age of 69.

Mr. Petigo had lived in Mississippi, Wisconsin, and Illinois before moving to Missouri. He lived in the Sikeston and Matthews communities until moving to Essex in 1998. He was a member of the Essex Apostolic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Lois Petigo of Essex; three sons, Chester Rogers of Punta Gorda, Fla., Wayne Rogers of West Chicago, Ill., and Kenneth Petigo, Jr. of Doniphan; three daughters, Vicki Teteak of Punta Gorda, Fla., Debbie McDowell of Wappapello, Patricia Cumpton of Fordland; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; five brothers, Andrew Petigo of Tupelo, Miss., Tom "T.J." Petigo of Piggott, Ark., Dewie Petigo of Columbus, Miss., Connie Petigo of St. Charles, Ill., and Andrew Jackson Petigo, Jr., of Lombard, Ill.; three sisters, Ruby Mitchell of Savannah, Tenn., Lavanie Duncan of Pascola, and Delois West of Tupelo, Miss.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ruble, Hoover and Derrell Petigo; and two sisters, Lucille Davis and Lura Petigo.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Visitation will also be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the Shinn Funeral Home in Russellville, Ark.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, in the Shinn Funeral Home in Russellvillle, Ark., with the Rev. Ronnie Parker of Essex officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Russellville, Ark., with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of local arrangements.
