Albert T. Wilson

Albert T. Wilson, the son of the late John and Orene Norvell Wilson, was born in Clarksville, Ark., on March 4, 1923, and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter on Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the age of 81.

On April 3, 1948, he married Lois J. Hammonds in Piggott, Ark.

Mr. Wilson had lived in St. Charles, Ill., until 1997 when he moved to Dexter. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter. Mr. Wilson was a retired employee of Allis Chalmers. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and served as an airplane mechanic. He was awarded three Bronze Stars and the Good Conduct Medal.

Surviving are his wife, Lois Wilson of Dexter; two sons, Rev. Al (Patricia) Wilson of Dexter and Jerry D. (Sandye) Wilson of Dexter; one daughter, DeDee J. (William) Webb of Dexter; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Wilson of South Elgin, Ill., and Herman Wilson of Paragould, Ark.; and one sister, Marie Smith of Edwardsberg, Mich. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Johnny, and Luther Wilson; and one sister, Ada Lanam.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Kohlbaker of Dexter officiating.

Interment followed in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
