Mrs. Johnston was a member of the New Bethel General Baptist Church in Dexter, a retired sewing room supervisor for Elder Manufacturing in Dexter where she worked for 47 years and resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Paul Johnston on July 2, 1955 at Puxico and to this union two children were born. Mr. Johnston survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides her husband, survivors include one son, David Johnston, of Eaton Rapids, Mich.; one daughter, Vicky Fields, of Dexter; one sister, Patricia Fields, of Tacoma, Wash.; three grandchildren: Chrissy Herren, Julia Johnston and Michael Johnston, and one step-brother, Buford Taylor.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Dunivan officiating.
Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
