On Jan. 27, 1940, she was united in marriage to Elmer Spangler, who preceded her in death on May 7, 2002.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, and she and her husband owned a Western Auto Store in the community for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Helen Hopkins of St. Louis and Charlette Kennedy of Branson West; one sister, May Illa Teichman of Willis, Texas; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one step-grandson and four brothers.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Dunavin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
