Miss Andrea Elaine Bowling and Mr. Adam Barrett Russell were united in marriage on Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at 5:30 in the evening. The wedding took place at The Jewel Box floral conservatory in Forest Park, downtown St. Louis. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Judge Steven Mitchell of Dexter. A reception followed at the Boulevard Room in the New Jefferson Arms, downtown St. Louis.
The bride is the daughter of Edward and Deborah Bowling of Dexter. Her grandparents are Jay and Ann Bowling currently of Clewison, Fla., and Jearl and Kathryne Clark of Puxico. The bridegroom is the son of Ralph and Mary Russell of St. Louis. His grandparents are Bob and Jean Russell of St. Louis and Harold and the late Francis Mikels, also of St. Louis.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. Andrea wore a white silk satin gown by Marisa. The gown was detailed with white and silver crystal beading and pearls. The classic ball gown silhouette was also detailed with a cap-sleeved bodice. The bride wore a cathedral length veil adorned with Swarovski crystals to complement the dress.
Sidney Russell, sister of the bridegroom, served as the maid of honor. Kayophe Parson of St. Louis attended as bridesmaid. Ralph Russell served in the wedding as his son's best man. Eric Bowling, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Alberto Barba was usher. The bridegroom's nephew and bride's godson, Devun Pecher, served as the ring bearer. Mrs. Tiffany Bowling, sister-in-law of the bride, attended the guest book. Miss Michaela Hester and Miss Madeline Hester of Dexter distributed wedding programs.
Following their honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple now reside in St. Charles.
