Juanita Welty, the daughter of the late Charles and Jewell Baker Harris, was born in Russellville, Ark., on May 5, 1928, and died at her home in Dexter on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at the age of 76.
She was raised in Arkansas and had lived all her adult life in the Dexter area. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter. She had been employed at Elder Manufacturing for 44 years as a press operator.
On Feb. 12, 1948, she was married to Lester Cleo England in Dexter. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1977.
Surviving are one daughter, Rhonda Martinek of Como, Tenn.; two sons, Garry England and Ronnie England, both of Dexter; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Hancel Harris of Lawton, Okla.; one sister, Lula Mae Hensley of Collinsville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by one son, Allan Cleo England on Nov. 18, 2004; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Pastor Shane Mallard of Dexter officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
