Robert "Bob" Richardson, the son of the late Marvin M. and Fannie M. Watkins Richardson, was born in Portageville on Aug. 23, 1947, and died at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at the age of 57.

Mr. Richardson had resided in Dexter and Puxico for 21 years and moved to Fisk one and one-half years ago. He had worked on the farms for Tyson Foods for 20 years.

On June 18, 1983, he was married to Nancy Strickler in Williamsport, Ind.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Richardson of Fisk; four sons, Craig Strickler, Chris Strickler, and Michael Richardson, all of Dexter, and Shane Strickler of Ft. Polk, La.; five daughters, Annalee Syx of Dowagiac, Mich., Beverly Scott, Dixie Crumbliss and Shanon Strickler, all of Puxico, and Cathy Chamberlain of Dexter; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Herbert Watkins of Puxico and Marvin Richardson of Liberal, Kan.; and one sister, Linda Anderson of Attica, Ind.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Bob Richmond of Wappapello officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.

Watkins & Sons Funeral Services of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
