Dwight "Buck" L. Buchanan, son of Marjorie Deardorff and the late Carl Buchanan, was born Nov. 10, 1948, at Poplar Bluff and died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

On July 7, 1977, he was united in marriage to Deborah Lynn Vaughn at Scott City, she preceded him in death Dec. 1, 2004.

He was a truck driver employed at Truck Transport. He attended Christian Faith Academy.

Survivors include two sons, Scott Buchanan of St. Louis and Rodney Buchanan of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Kathy Westrich of Cape Girardeau, Megan Palmer of Scott City, and Lindsay Aycock of Sikeston.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Carbaugh and Rev. Johnny Seabaugh officiating.

Interment will follow in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
