Laura Mae Rutledge, daughter of the late J.B. Mikel and Velvia Abernathy Mikel, was born July 27, 1940, at Campbell and died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at Gideon Care Center.

She was married to James Rutledge on Jan. 12, 1957, at St. Louis.

Survivors include her husband, James Rutledge of Clarkton; one son, James Ray Rutledge of Dexter; two daughters, Patricia Miller of Clarkton and Laurie Griffin of Greenville; one sister, Ruby Taylor of Warrenton; two brothers, Frank Mikel of Piedmont and Bob Mikel of St. Clair; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud Mikel and Roy Mikel; and one sister, Agnes Ormsby.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Johnny Meese and Mr. Dale Taylor officiating.

Interment will follow in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
