David Lee Campbell, 51, of Gravois Mills and formerly of Sikeston, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at his residence.

He was born May 6, 1953, in Stoddard County to Virgil Campbell, Sr. of Fair Dealing and Christine Branum Campbell of Gravois Mills. He was of the Baptist faith and had worked as an auto body mechanic and also fo Danny Lambert Construction.

On Feb. 28, 1986, he was united in marriage to Diana Richards, who survives of Sikeston.

Besides his parents and wife, he is survived by one daughter, Linda Lee of Pell City, Ala.; one brother, Virgil Campbell, Jr. of Belleville, Ill.; seven sisters, Juanita Haynes of Sikeston, Barbara Goforth of Gravois Mills, Janice Mace of Dexter, Shirley Suggs of Cahokia, Ill., Janet Young of Tulsa, Okla., Ann Costin of Nashville, Tenn., and Sharon Campbell of Gravois Mills; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one infant son, Joshua Campbell.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, in the Nunnelee Chapel with Rev. Curtis True, pastor of Church on the rock in Sikeston, officiating.

Interment will follow in Blodgett Cemetery.
