Bertha M. Farmer

Bertha M. Farmer, daughter of the late Joseph and Lide Clark Alsup, was born at Gray Ridge on Nov. 1, 1904, and died at Central Gardens Residential Care in Dexter on Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at the age of 100.

Mrs. Farmer had spent most of her life in the Bloomfield Community but had been a resident of Dexter the past few years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield. She was married to Rupert Farmer, and he preceded her in death on May 11, 1973.

Survivors include one son, Bill Farmer of Lake Mary, Fla.; and one daughter, Janet Farmer of The Villages, Fla.; two sisters, Colleen Miller of Sikeston and Maxine Neubert of Dayton, Ohio; and two granddaughters.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Mike Arthur officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bluff Cemetery at Idalia.
