Shelby Jo Kincy, 66, of Glen Carbon, Ill., died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, a DePaul Hospital in St. Louis.

Born Dec. 21, 1937, in Ash Hill, Mo., she was the daughter of the late John and Nancy Wade Joiner. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, Ill., and was a homemaker.

On June 11, 1954, she married Lendal L. Kincy, who preceded her in death Dec. 3, 1984. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Gladys Traynor, Opal Gauthier, Audrey Wiltfong and Betty Gamel; and three brothers, Glenn Joiner, J.B. (Pete) Joiner and John Joiner.

Survivors include two daughters, Eddea Kamp of Marine, Ill., and Rhea Kincy of Glen Carbon, Ill.; one brother, Drexel Joiner of Warren, Mich.; one sister, Shirley Davidson of Dudley; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at the Irwin Chapel in Illinois. The funeral service will be at noon Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill memorial Estates Cemetery in Edwardsville, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church.
