Carol Peppers, 58, of Bernie died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 14, 1946, at Lemay, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Leonard J. Burns and Lee Etta Brawley. She was a housewife, affiliated with the Powe Gospel Church in Powe, and was a lifelong resident of Bernie.
On Nov. 15, 1986, she married Kenneth Peppers in Kennett. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Bently Joe Jennings of Qulin, and Brian Lee Jennings of Bernie; two stepsons, Mark Peppers of Campbell, and James Peppers of West Memphis, Ark.; one daughter, Tracy Lynn Jennings of Hinesville, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Chastity Peppers of West Memphis; six sisters, Mildred Browning, Elsie Martin, Rosalie Taylor, Sandra Nash, Debbie Clark and Janice Burns; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin and Larry Burns; and three sisters, Glenda Burns, Wanda Sorano and Sharon Kiehn.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004 in Powe Gospel Church. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
