Dorothy Lucille Davis, daughter of the late John Thomas Rainey and Roxie Hannah (Brooks) Rainey, was born Oct. 7, 1916, in Hardin County, Tenn., and died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, at Puxico Nursing Center.

She had attended Hobbs Chapel Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and sewing.

On Jan. 1, 1938, she was united in marriage to Duel V. Davis at Savannah, Tenn., and he survives of the home.

Othe survivors include one son, John R. Davis of Dudley; one daughter, Janis E. Eubanks of Dudley; and one sister, Josephine Haggard of Savannah, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Kay Davis; two sisters; and five brothers.

Visitation was held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at White Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at White Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk.

Interment followed in the Puxico Cemetery.
