Bob W. Lewis

Bob W. Lewis, son of the late Nathaniel and Ida Wilson Lewis, was born in Parma on July 8, 1926, and died at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at the age of 78.

He was a resident of Parma and a member of the Parma General Baptist Church where he served the church for many years as a deacon.

Mr. Lewis was an employee of the Parma school system for many years.

On May 27, 1946, he was married to Earlene Jaynes in Piggott, Ark. She preceded him in death on Sept. 23, 1980.

Surviving are two daughters, Sheila Barr of Lake Mary, Fla., and Reatha Paul of New Hamburg; one sister, Rose Nichols of Parma; one step-brother, Larry Warren of Dexter; one step-sister, Maxine Hedrick of Dexter; and two granddaughters.

He is preceded in death by one brother, Carlton Lewis.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma with the Rev. Don Cooper of Dexter officiating.

Interment followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
