Genevieve L. "Jennie" Specht-Shaw, age 85, of Lyons, Ill., spent 22 years in Dexter, Mo. She was the wife of the late Leo S. Specht and the late John Shaw; mother of Toni and Mary Specht; step-mother of James Shaw and Luanne Plohocki and the late Gary Shaw. She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters; step-grandmother of six; step great-grandmother of eight;

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 3, 2004, 9:30 a.m. at Tower Home for Funerals, 4007 S. Joliet Avenue.

Interment followed at Mt. Auburn Cemeteryin Stickney, Ill.

She was a member of the Lyons Senior Citizens Club, Emil Schelve American Legion Auxillary Post 699 and Dexter Missouri Eagles Club; and an avid Cubs fan. Memorials to Lyons Fire Department appreciated.
