Patricia Marie Carter, daughter of the late James Roe and Anna Lane Roe, was born on March 18, 1933, at Anna, Ill., and died in the Northeast Arkansas Hospital at Jonesboro, Ark., on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at the age of 71.

Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and a resident of Trumann, Ark.

She was united in marriage to Virgil Lee Carter on Aug. 29, 1953, at Alton, Ill. Mr. Carter preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 1992.

Survivors include five sons, Alan David Ritchey of Wood River, Ill., Albert Lee Ritchey of Trumann, Ark., Don Carter of Phoenix, Ariz., Ron Carter and Steve Carter, both of Trumann, Ark.; two daughters, Debbie Tackett and Dianne Cox, both of Trumann, Ark.; one sister, Dorothy Couch of Trumann, Ark.; 31 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
