Frances Ann Wilcox, the daughter of the late Lynn Arthur and Charlotta Roberts Wilcox, was born in Dexter on Nov. 24, 1939, and died in Blue Ash, Ohio, on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer at the age of 65.

She worked for Candlewood Apartments for nearly 20 years. But most important in her life were her children, grandchildren, and other family members and a host of supportive friends.

Surviving are three sons, Michael Joseph Douglas of Vidor, Texas, John Thomas Douglas of Bossier City, La., and William Andrew Douglas of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Dawn Douglas Niermann of Clayton; six grandchildren; one brother, Dale Roberts Wilcox of Fort Wayne, Ind.

Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Tom Bass of Cape Girardeau officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
