Mae Lynch, daughter of the late Rollo Smith and Nora Smith, was born on Nov. 21, 1912, at Puxico and died at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing by Americare on Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at the age of 92.
Mrs. Lynch was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, founding member of the Stoddard County Country Club presently known as Hidden Trails Country Club, member of the Ladies' Golf Association, and a resident of Dexter.
She was first united in marriage to Captain Edmund H. Weber in June 1933. Mr. Weber preceded her in death on July 9, 1942. Mrs. Lynch was then united in marriage to Elmo James "Mike" Lynch on Jan. 8, 1947. Mr. Lynch preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1983.
Survivors include two daughters, Edwina Mae Prinster of Auxvasse and Pam Turlington of Dexter; one sister, Dora Kearney of Brownsville, Texas; also seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Michael "Mick" Lynch; one brother; and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fred Leist officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
