Larry "Joe" Williamson

Larry "Joe" Williamson, the son of Cozette Hester Williamson and the late Parvin Williamson, was born in Idalia Jan. 8, 1948, and died at his home in Bloomfield on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at the age of 57.

He was a resident of Bloomfield and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Williamson served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and received the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon. he was a former employee of the Triangle PWC Wire Company where he worked as a fork lift operator.

On Dec. 26, 1970, he was married to Lynn Aslin in Bloomfield.

Surviving are his wife, Lynn Williamson of Bloomfield; one son, Chris Williamson of Dexter; his mother, Cozette Williamson of Essex; one granddaughter; one sister, Wilma McGuire of Essex; and one brother, Parvin Williamson of Dexter.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Williamson.

Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Don Dunavin of Bloomfield officiating.

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.

Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
