Gladys Farmer, daughter of the late John Joseph Dunning and Millie Marie Elledge Dunning, was born Aug. 30, 1929, at Advance and died in her residence at Dexter on Jan. 26, 2005, at the age of 75.

Mrs. Farmer was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter, a former employee of International Hat Company in Dexter and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Charles Farmer on Oct. 30, 1948, at Piggott, Ark. Mr. Farmer survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, survivors include two daughters, Patricia Ann Cooper and Janie Marie Adams, both of Dexter; one sister, Betty Jane Parker of Dexter; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Dunning and Monroe Dunning.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, in the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter with Rev. Robert Bentley, Rev. Jimmy Kirby, and Rev. Darrell Faire officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
