He was of the Baptist faith.
In 1971 he was united in marriage to Opal M. Poucher-Sneed at Marble Hill, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 9, 2001.
Survivors include three sisters, Opal Bailey of Haiti, Jessie Mahon of Blytheville, Ark., and Idella Fee of Marble Hill; one step-daughter, Sharon Barlow of Jonesboro, Ill.; and three step-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; and one brother.
Visitation was held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at Hutchins Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill with Rev. Ethel Lou Myers officiating.
Interment followed in Union Hill Cemetery at Zalma.
