He was owner and operator of McGuire's Garage in Malden.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II, 8th Armored Division of the 80th Tank Battalion and received the rank of Master Sergeant and received a Bronze Star. He was a member of the Nazarene Church, being the oldest charter member.
Survivors include two daughters, Jan Boyd of Arnold and Kathy Boyle of Bernie; one step-daughter, Dorothy Morgan of Dexter; one step-son, Wayne Baker of Malden; four grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby McGuire and Ione Seelinger.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Rev. Mike Davis officating.
Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
