He was a resident of Puxico until 1985, lived in various places until moving to Jackson in 2002. He attended the First Assembly of God Church in Cape Girardeau. Mr. Cook was a truck driver and had received many safe driving awards.
On Nov. 23, 1985, he was married to Melanie Pruitt in Glennon.
Surviving are his wife, Melanie Cook of Jackson; one daughter, Jennifer Lynne Cook of Jackson; his father, Lawrence Cook of Yuma, Ariz.; his mother, Joyce Cook of Puxico; and three brothers, Larry Cook of Jackson, Garry Cook of Puxico, and Kenny Cook of Lincoln, Neb.
Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at Watkins & sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with the Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fagan Cemetery near Puxico.
