Geneva Parker

Geneva Parker, daughter of the late John and Maggie Vickery Stewart, was born in Dyersburg, Tenn., on April 21, 1921, and died in the Miner Nursing Center on Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at the age of 83.

Mrs. Parker had lived in Parma all her life until moving to Sikeston six years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the BPW Club in Parma.

On June 9, 1942, she was married to Lossie James "Laut" Parker in Kennett. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1993.

She is survived by one daughter, Anita Williams of Sikeston; two grandchildren; and one sister, Modean Webb of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Stewart; and two sisters, Verla Bagby and Dean Lehr.

Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, in the Malden Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Keith Garland of Dexter officiating.

Interment followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
