Ralph Lyle Messmore

Ralph Lyle Messmore, son of Beatrice Whitehead Messmore and the late Ralph Eugene Messmore, was born on June 16, 1950, at Hopkinsville, Ky., and died in the St. Louis University Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at the age of 54.

Mr. Messmore was a resident of St. Louis, an active member in his local church, and had been a building contractor.

He was united in marriage to Wanda Stoker on Aug. 23, 1975, at St. Louis. She survives of the home in St. Louis.

Besides his wife and mother, survivors include two sons, David Messmore of Springfield, Ill., and Neil Messmore of St. Louis; one daughter, Rowena Messmore of St. Louis; two sisters, Amy Shewell of Blue Springs and Dr. Paula Messmore of Kansas City; and two grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 10-10:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at the Bernie Cemetery with Rev. John Moore of St. Louis officiating.

Interment followed in the Bernie Cemetery.
