Fay W. Johnson, daughter of the late William C. Martin and Nellie Bench Martin, was born on Feb. 13, 1929, at Culp, Ark., and died on Sunday, March 6, 2005, in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter at the age of 76.
Mrs. Johnson attended the First Assembly of God Church in Bloomfield, was a homemaker and a resident of Bloomfield.
On Jan. 2, 1945, she was united in marriage to Ivan Ray Johnson at Bloomfield. Mr. Johnson preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1993.
Survivors include one son, Arlin Johnson of Dexter; one daughter, Wanda Nolan of Bloomfield; two brothers, W.C. Martin of Dexter and Galen Martin of Puxico; three sisters, Arlue Cantrell and Vivian Stroup, both of Bloomfield, and Norma Welker of Advance; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Louis Martin; and one sister, Edith Mayberry.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Dallas Reagan and Rev. Dale Holman officiating.
Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield.
