Ernie Robert Jones, 85, of Morley, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at his residence. He was born on May 19, 1919, in Dover, Ark., to the late Charlie and Clemmie Boze Jones. He was a farmer and served as a corporal in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a former member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 702 and formerly worked on electrical line construction. He was a member of the Hooe Baptist Church.

On Dec. 7, 1940, in Benton he was united in marriage to Odessa Beatrice Miller who survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, David Jones of Morley, Albert Jones of West Plains, and Brian Jones of Surgoinsville, Tenn.; two daughters, Peggy Davis of Dexter and Linda Rhein of Mountain Home, Ark.; one brother, Frank Jones of Bell City; and three sisters, Ollie Sindle of Dexter, Neva Harris of Washington, Ill., and Erma Imogene Harris of Gilbertsville, Ky.; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Robert Jones; and two brothers, Floyd and Charles Jones.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005, at Nunnelee Chapel with Rev. Quintin Davis of the First Baptist Church in Sarcoxie officiating. Rev. Delbert Bishop of the Bement Baptist Church will be assisting.

Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
