On Feb. 16, 1941, she and James Alouis Roth were united in marriage at Columbia.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Malden, and she enjoyed china painting. She taught many years with the 4-H program in New Madrid County and taught china painting at her home.
Survivors include her husband, James Alouis Roth of Malden; three sons, James Richard Roth of Belmont, Mass., Charles Barron Roth of Battleground, Ind., and Victor Lind Roth of Malden; one brother, Larry Dean Smith of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Charlene Melba Richardson of Forsythe; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jennings G. Smith, Norman Smith and Spurgeon Smith; and one sister, Juanita Blades.
Visitation was held after 6 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Stan Wood officiating.
Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
