Mr. Botsch was a retired farmer, was a member of the United Methodist Church for 52 years and served the church as head usher and greeter for over 50 years, was also a former Sunday school teacher for the teens, a former member of the Bernie Jaycees, and a former member of the Bernie School Board.
Mr. Botsch served in the United States Army during the European Theater of World War II.
He was united in marriage to Helen Harmon on Dec. 25, 1947, at Piggott, Ark. Mrs. Botsch survives of the home at Bernie.
Besides his wife, survivors include one son, Don Botsch of Bernie; one daughter, Nancy Wilson of Jefferson City; three brothers, Ernest Botsch, Erwin Botsch, and Orlando Botsch, all of Bernie; three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Re.v Susan Marner-Sides officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery with full military honors provided by Missouri Funeral Honor Guard.
