Elsinore Fowler

Selena Elsinore Fowler, daughter of the late Albert Green and Bessie Shipman Green, was born on March 17, 1921, near Acorn Ridge and died in the Crowley Ridge Care Center at Dexter on Saturday, March 26, 2005, at the age of 84.

Mrs. Fowler was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Chester Paul Fowler on Nov. 1, 1941, at Ardeola. Mr. Fowler preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2001.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry W. Fowler of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Ronald D. Fowler of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Neva Ragsdel of Dexter; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Gail W. Fowler; four brothers, August Green, Harvey Green, Tilden Green and Frontz Green; and two sisters, Cleo Green and Mace Pruitt.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating.

Interment followed in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.
