Artie Alean Rowland, the daughter of the late George C. and Lessie Ann Young Bullman, was born in Finger, Tenn., on Feb. 21, 1913, and died at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at the age of 92.

She had lived in McNairy County, Tenn., and had been a resident of Parma since 1938. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Parma and was a retired riverboat cook with the Inland Oil Co.

On Oct. 20, 1934, she was married to Joseph Hubert Rowland in Corinth, Miss. He preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1992.

Surviving are two sons, Danny Rowland of Dexter and Gary Rowland of Parma; three daughters, Jane Lewis Campbell and Marilyn Jeanette Ludwig, both of Parma, and Shirley Corn of Phoenix, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Mary Smith of Henderson, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by one son, Lelon Rowland; one grandson; five brothers, Clarence, Otis, Buren, Emmett and Calvin Bullman; five sisters, Gladys Young, Virgie Bullman, Odell Greene, Cleo Bailey, and Oca Bullman.

Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2005, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma with the Rev. John Girdley of Parma and Rev. Jody Duncan of Atoka, Tenn., officiating.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
