Barbara Sue Mims

Barbara Mims, daughter of the late Willie Lee and Ollie Bell Pruitt Lee, was born on Sept. 4, 1940, at Kennett, and died at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on Thursday, March 31, 2005, at the age of 64.

Mrs. Mims was a former employee of the Paramount Hat Factory in Dexter and a resident of Dexter.

On Nov. 15, 1957, she was united in marriage to Lesley Ray Mims at Kokomo, Ind. Mr. Mims survives of the home in Dexter.

Other survivors include four sons, Larry Ray Mims and Steven Wayne Mims, both of Dexter, Gary Lee Mims of Potosi, and Terry Dale Mims of Maryville, Ill.; one daughter, Patricia Sue Mims of Dexter; three brothers, Ronnie Lee of Green Town, Ind., Billy Lee of Kokomo, Ind., and Eddie Lee of Dexter; one sister, Yvonne Davis of Green Town, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Duncan; and one sister, Violet Fortner.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Gary Gilbert officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
