Milford Leon Hinkle, 77, of Advance, was born Jan. 22, 1928, near Advance, the son of the late Otto and Lola Borders Hinkle, and died on Thursday, March 31, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He retired after working as an assembler for General Motors for 30 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Greenbrier. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II.
On March 19, 1950, he and Fern Livingston were united in marriage, and she preceded him in death on May 12, 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Hinkle of Sitka, Alaska, and Dale Hinkle of Lee Summitt; two brothers, Ivan Hinkle and Dewayne Hinkle, both of Advance; a sister, Mildred Elfrink of Advance; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance with Rev. James Johns officiating.
Interment will follow in Balch Cemetery near Zalma.
