Mary Breece, daughter of the late Louis and Roxy Vlahandres, was born Jan. 28, 1922, at Lansing, Mich., and died in the St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at the age of 83.

Mrs. Breece was a homemaker and resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Gene Breece on July 6, 1951, at Grand Rapids, Mich. Mr. Breece survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, survivors include one son, Kenneth Breece of Haiku, Hawaii; one step-son, Ronald Breece of San Diego, Calif.; three step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Spiro Vlahandres.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2005, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Clifford Wray officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
