Joyce A. Gray, the daughter of the late James Robert and Sara Melissa Ford Gray, was born in Marston on July 22, 1945, and died at her home near Puxico on Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the age of 59.

She was a former resident of Marston and had lived in Puxico the past 25 years. She was affiliated with the Baptist church, liked to garden, watch westerns and enjoyed her grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Terry J. Townsend of Puxico; two daughters, Angela Proffer of Burfordville and Joyce Jenkins of Dexter. four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Buck Gray of Fisk and D.W. Gray of Jefferson City; four sisters, Mary Gray and Betty Dodson, both of Indiana, Margie Siliman of Marston and Maggie Stocker of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild.

Visitation was held after 6 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2005, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

Graveside services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2005, in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Puxico with services conducted by Stephen Watkins of Dexter.

Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
