Bobby Welch, son of the late Manuel Welch and Daisy Rusche Welch, was born on May 26, 1932, at Grayridge and died in St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at the age of 72.
Mr. Welch was a retired truck driver for PTI, a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War and a resident of Dexter.
He was united in marriage to Louise McCollough on Oct. 22, 1951, at Piggott, Ark. Mrs. Welch survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife, survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Danny Golden of Bloomfield; two brothers, Bill Welch of Huntsville, Ala., and Michael Welch of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two grandchildren, Tina and husband Mitchell Hampton and Chris Hunsaker, both of Dexter; three great-grandchildren, Tristen Hampton, Matthew Hampton and Kaytlyn Hampton.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, George Henry Welch; and one sister, Mary Jo Smith.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Clifford Wray officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
