Harry Maldonado, son of Crescencia Ortiz Maldonado of Dexter and the late Manfredo Maldonado, was born on March 25, 1959 near Parma and died at his residence in Batesville, Miss., on April 14, 2005 at the age of 46.
Harry was of the Catholic faith, a heavy equipment operator for W.W. Contractors at Sardis, Miss., and a former resident of Dexter.
Survivors include one daughter, Dana Smith, of Lexington; his mother, Crescencia Maldonado, of Dexter; one brother, Henry Maldonado, of Dudley; two sisters, Hilda Bradshaw, of Bernie and Hilma M. Reyes of Dexter.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Longino Ortiz, in 1964 and Genoveva R. Ortiz in 1978; and by his great-aunt, Cruz Maldonado, in 1973.
Visitation was at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2005. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2005 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Maxwell Lewis and Rev. Jerry Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
