Mr. Kilmer had been a resident of Dexter most of his life, and moved to Sikeston in June 2001. He graduated from the Murray State College in 1964. He was a retired MFA Insurance agent and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
On Jan. 27, 1967, he was married to Mary Ann Merriman in Dexter.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Kilmer of Sikeston; one daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Lankheit of Sikeston; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence "Froggie" Kilmer on May 17, 1975.
Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. until time for funeral service on Thursday, April 21, 2005, at 1 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter officiating.
Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
