She married Glenn F. Aslin on Nov. 17, 1935. To this marriage two sons were born, James G. Aslin of Tucson, Ariz., and Malcom M. Aslin of Cape Haze, Fla.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn F. Aslin in 1988; her parents; a sister, Reba Parmenter; a brother, Orville Moore; and two brothers who died in early childhood.
Lorene was educated in the Bloomfield and Essex Schools. She has been a member of The First Missionary Baptist Church since 1943 and a member in the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years.
Survivors include her two sons and their wives, Jim and Susan Aslin of Tuscon, Ariz., and Mick and Kathy Aslin of Cape Haze, Fla.; four granddaughters, Shawn Davison (Matt), Tucson, Ariz., Erin Silva (Scott), Springerville, Ariz., Lindsey Aslin of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Meredith Aslin of New York, N.Y. Two great-granddaughters, Haley Silva and Madison Davison also survive.
Funeral services will be held at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield on Saturday, May 7, 2005. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Services will be at 11 a.m. Burial service will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
