Theresa Jean Ochap, the daughter of the late William and Juanita Barnes Smith, was born in Dexter on July 31, 1960, and died in Dexter on Sunday, May 15, 2005, at the age of 44.

Mrs. Ochap was born in Dexter, lived in Chicago, Ill., for several years, and then moved to Fort Myers, Fla. 20 years ago. She had been a waitress until her health forced her retirement.

Surviving are one son: John Mitzelfeld of Fort Myers, Fla.; one daughter, Amy Marie Ochap of North Fort Myers, Fla.; three grandchildren; three brothers, Michael Smith of Twin Lakes, Wis., Kenneth Smith of Pine Island, Fla., and David Smith of North Fort Myers, Fla.; and two sisters, Donna Drouin and Linda Smith, both of North Fort Myers, Fla.

Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. H. Worth of Essex officiating.
