She was born Jan. 21, 1944, in Malden, the daughter of the late James Franklin Wineman and Ruthey Lamunion Wineman. She was a 1964 graduate of Dexter High School. She had lived in Marshall since 1997 moving from Bakersfield, Calif. She had been a nurse and a homemaker. She was a member of the Marshall United Pentecostal Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the M & M Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Angela Wooden of Marshall; a step-daughter, Barbara Conway of California; two step-sons, Lowern Winford Wooden, Jr. of Senora, Calif., and Stanley Jesse Eugene Wooden of Greely Hill, Calif.; 11 step-grandchildren; four sisters, Virgie Wright and Vivian Wright, both of Dexter, a twin sister, Freda Helen Wineman of San Francisco, Calif., and Juanita Loggins of Marshall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Wineman; a sister, Eula Mae Aldridge; and two sisters and a brother in infancy.
Visitation was held from 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the Marshall United Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Marshall United Pentecostal Church with Rev. William Swaringam officiating.
Interment followed in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.
