Thelma Biggs, the daughter of the late Michael and Martha Pixley Feeler, was born in Remmington, Ind., on Nov. 27, 1914, and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the age of 90.

Mrs. Biggs had lived in Memphis and Salem, Ind., all her life until moving to Dexter five months ago. She was a member of the Memphis General Baptist Church in Memphis, Ind.

On March 20, 1937, she was married to Raymond Biggs. He preceded her in death in December of 1988.

Surviving are four sons: Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Morris Biggs of New Albany, Ind., Michael Biggs of Austin, Ind., and Keith Biggs of Columbus, Ind.; two daughters, Janice Coats of Scottsburg, Ind., Marilyn Coats of Salem, Ind.;16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Cecil Feeler.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2005, at the Stewart Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Ind.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2005, in the Stewart Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Ind., with Rev. Kenneth Biggs, Mike Biggs and Rob Sheet all officiating.

Interment will follow in the Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Ind., with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of local arrangements.
